Why does it require a Pawbase microchip registration?
The collar tag links to your pet's Pawbase profile, which is created when you register your pet's microchip. The registration is what makes the tag work. It also gives your pet a permanent backup if the tag is ever lost or removed, since microchips can't fall off.
Does the finder need to download an app?
No. Anyone with a smartphone can scan the tag using their camera. Your pet's profile opens in their browser with your contact info.
What if I change my phone number or move?
Update your contact info in the Pawbase app or web portal and the tag reflects it instantly. No need to order a new tag.
What information does a finder see when they scan?
Only what you choose to share. You control which contact details appear on your public profile when the collar tag is scanned. You can update these settings any time in your account settings.
