Do I have to buy Pawbase microchips to join?
No. You can register microchips from any manufacturer in your Pawbase account. Ordering Pawbase chips just means registration is already included and the chips arrive pre-assigned to you.
Is there a fee for the pet owner?
No. When you transfer a pet to its new family, they pay nothing to accept it, keep it registered, or update their contact details.
What happens when the pet goes to its new home?
You send the transfer to the new owner's email. They accept and become the primary contact, and you stay listed as the backup contact for the life of the pet.
